Torta is the Spanish word for cake. During Spanish time, eggwhites were used to glue the stones instead of cement in building the church of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, now a famous landmark of Argao, Cebu. In order not to waste the eggyolks left, the locals thought of a way to utilize it by creating a delicacy now known as the Torta de Argao. Have a taste of this unique mouth watering delicacy home cooked using the traditional way!
